Boating/Fishing- The Iowa State Record Black Crappie was caught at Sundown Lake in the fall of 2024. An active fish committee has worked with a hired fish biologist to incorporate great fishing at the lake. Several species not limited to Crappie, Bass, Walleye, Bluegill, Catfish and Golden Shiners are in the lake. You are allowed two motorized watercraft per lot owned at the lake.
