A recent article in the Des Moines Register supporting the Honey Creek resort in Appanoose County Iowa offers encouraging news on the only state run resort in Iowa. The Honey Creek resort is a lodge style resort located on the north shores of Rathbun Lake in Southern Iowa. If you have been looking for a place to come and relax the resort offers a 18-hole championship golf course, indoor waterpark, sports bar, restaurant, bike, and hiking trails and much more. This resort is only 10 miles from my sales office and is frequented by several of my customers at Sundown Lake.
